General Description
Ærø Single Malt Single Cask – Gold. This bottling is our tribute to the cask that earned us our first gold medal in 2021. Created with respect for craftsmanship and patience, and true to Ærø Whisky's manifesto, this is whisky a meeting between our own rum and the powerful character of French oak. A Single Cask that unites fruitiness and depth without losing its elegance – a dram that both surprises and pampers. Here you will find a whisky without smoke or peat, where the warmth and balance are allowed to speak.

Cask / Barrel
The cask is made of French oak, 128 liters, with a Medium+ toast – a barrel that has already carried our own rum and therefore carries sweetness, complexity and depth further into the whiskya. The rum-aged character comes through clearly, providing a silky sweetness that supports the purity of the malt. Nothing about this cask is accidental – it has been carefully selected for its ability to provide whiskya unique expression where the fruit and warm oak tones are allowed to flourish.

Tasting notes
A fruity and light whisky with clear hints of rum. The notes are clean and warm – no smoke, no peat. A well-balanced taste experience, where the 60% alcohol supports without dominating. The taste lingers long after you have put the glass down, leaving you with a feeling of warmth and rounded fullness in both the palate and throat. A dram that can be enjoyed as is – or opened up further with a few drops of water.

Alcohol
This Single Cask Whisky is bottled at 60% – a strength that highlights its fullness and nuances. Despite its power, it appears harmonious and balanced, and provides an honest insight into what a single, well-chosen vessel can create.

Circulation
A very limited number of bottles have been bottled from this cask. At the time of writing, only 33 bottles remain. We expect this bottling to sell out during the fall of 2025.

Delivery
This exclusive Single Cask Whisky Comes as standard in a nice cardboard box containing a description of Ærø Whisky A/S. It is also possible to purchase a beautiful wooden gift box – with or without 2 Glencairn Ærø Whisky glass.
